While June was working at the orphanage in the jungles of Guatamala, as a medical volunteer, she was appalled by the condition of the desks the children had to use. With the purchase of several gallons of red, green, blue and yellow paint, the children, June and other volunteers, turned those shabby desks into the beautiful desks that you see (next page). A lot of rust was sanded off, black metal paint was applied to the metal and the wood was primed and painted.
