Completed Projects
The Jungle Orphanage
In November of 2007, June decided to volunteer at an orphanage in Guatamala, which she had financially supported for some time. There was a need for a medically trained person to work in the clinic.
The clinic ministered both to the children in the orphanage and the village on the outskirts. As the clinic was being relocated, she worked in marking, packing and re-establishing the medical supplies, medications and equipment in the new premise, as well as attending to the needs of the residents.
June spent one month there, and when the new clinic was set up, she worked in the school, painting and repairing the desks for the students (pictured in the photo gallery). Through her introduction to the needs in the orphanage, Guatamala and its people became very important to her. This was the first of many projects.
