Rebuild bombed out school in Cold River (Rio Frio), El Salvador
"This building may not look promising to us in our prosperous country. But in reality, this is a beautiful beginning to a new school."

This three-sided, brick building is a former school which was bombed during the civil war between the guerillas and the government forces. It is a solid building, and on land owned by the Board of Education. This village has two certified teachers who have been teaching in old decrepit sheds (see below). It also has a nutritional food supplement program, which guarantees every child food to start the day with, as well as basic educational supplies.
"CAFRED and June of We Plant the Seeds took on this project because they know it will be affordable. The part that is standing is very solid. They will need to provide the supplies for one wall, windows, floor and a roof.
They would like to see the rebuilt school expanded to accommodate a minimum of 75 students (at present there are 45 children attending), mainly because there is no room to accommodate any more."
